I came in for 2 recalls and a tire rotation. The recalls in question after looking at the paper work 1 was .7hrs and 2 was .4 hrs then a tire rotation on top, my judgement another .5 hrs… my appointment time was 09:30am my vehicle wasn’t released until 4:00pm. I realize that there may be a line or other circumstances but 6.5 hrs for a job that should’ve taken 2 is excessive. Especially considering I had an appointment. If you’re going to run a shop 1st com 1st serve maybe the appointment system shouldn’t be part of your business model. On top of that, after the tire rotation the air pressures weren’t adjusted and I had to do it at home… I figured that checking and adjusting tire pressure would be part of that job.

Well dropped it off in the morning for a diagnostic and to get air from the brakes. Had an appointment. You had the truck for 3 days and issues are not fixed. Said it was but didn’t “couldn’t” test it. Other issue I paid for a service I did not need. $450 and it’s back at your place.

I came into the dealership only to test drive a few vehicles I have been interested in, then I met Conner, a salesman for the company. I was able to test drive the trucks I wanted to, and Conner was knowledgeable of the vehicles, the pros and cons of them and I decided to go ahead and buy the Chevy Colorado, while all of the administrative and financial stuff was being drawn up Conner was very attentive towards me. It was a pleasure doing business with him and everyone else there. This is the 3rd vehicle I’ve purchased from Tooele Valley Motors and even tho it’s under different ownership, I certainly wouldn’t keep coming back if they weren’t top notch!

We brought our 2020 Sierra AT4 in for a check engine light. The diagnosis was that a glow plug needed to be replaced. Upon arriving home from picking the truck up from the dealership after that repair I noticed that our 360 degree camera system was messed up. I literally backed the truck into the space at the service center when dropping off for the repair and can confirm nothing was wrong with the cameras upon drop off. I called the dealership immediately and was told that I would be charged another $200 diagnostic fee to analyze the problem--a problem that was caused by something done during the diagnosis or repairs--which is unacceptable. I shouldn't have to pay for them to fix something that was broken while my truck was at the dealership. The employee helping me then said he would need to talk to his manager about it to see what they could do. This was around 230pm on 9/16. It is now 24 hours later and I haven't heard back from anyone. I know something was done to our left rear-view mirror (the side the camera system is messed up on), as upon drop off the mirror would pop forward out of place. Now the mirror is securely in place. Perhaps a well-meaning tech noticed the problem and accidentally damaged the camera while re-securing the mirror? Ultimately, I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service. We have been loyal to this dealership since moving to the area--nearly 8 years. We have brought all of our vehicles here for routine maintenance. The glow plug repair cost over $700 and they are unwilling to take accountability and fix something that was broken while our truck was in their hands.

I brought my Equinox in to have the transmission fluid changed. All went well until I left the dealership post fluid change. The transmission started to slip very badly! I got to Lakepoint and had to turn around. I barely made it to the dealership. I thought the trans had blown. But the next day I was told to come and pick up the car. The transmission fluid had not been reinstalled properly. I believe some damage has probably been done to the transmission. It runs differently now.

We took our exuinox in because our OnStar and navigation were not working. They had the car for the entire day and claimed it was fixed. When we picked it up, nothing was fixed. When I called the dealership, they explained that they had found nothing wrong and that the issue was related to OnStar. If it was, they should not have told us that it was fixed.

Received 3 different price quotes for outrageous amounts to make a repair on a $64 hose that they said was the issue. It was misdiagnosed and was not the issue or problem and it was a thermostat causing the problem that was repaired myself. Would not recommend service at this dealership on ford Chevy or dodge, haven’t had a good experience with any of them and will be looking at other places to have a vehicle worked on. Won’t be bringing it here if there is ever a recall issue either.

Service desk rep was very knowledgeable, courteous and polite. Appointment for a technician was scheduled and the cost to evaluate the problem, $189.00 was agreed upon. Brought the car in two days later for the evaluation. Received a call about four hours later and informed that the problem was fixed. When I picked the car, up was told that wiring in the trunk harness was the cause. Was handed an invoice for $680.00. The total cost included the agreed upon $189.00. The labor cost was $491.00. That seems extreme. I would advise customers to be aware of agreeing to the actual cost and the customers approval of a repair, before the repair is actually made.
